WORK EXPERIENCE |
February 2002-Present - Continuing at Harris RF Communications as a full time Network Engineer as part of the Engineering I.T. Department. Duties include asset manangement, software compliance, engineering PC support, engineering server upgrades, network support and upgrades, general PC support, and audio/visual presentation setups, amoung others. Coordinated installation of, and responsible for the Division's "smart" electronic conference rooms' equipment and controls. |
May 2000-February 2002 - Information Systems Technician co-op position at Harris Corporation - RF Communications Division IS Department Desktop Support Group, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610. Full and part-time position based on season. Worked as part of the desktop support group with PC upgrades, new PC deployment, software troubleshooting, system rebuilds, asset disposal, basic network support, and upgrade of various 10-Base2 coax infrastructures to twisted pair, among several other duties. Assisted team in supporting over 1,200 PCs. Windows 95, NT4, and 2000 environments utilized. | |
1996-Present - Self-employed on a need basis with computer consulting work. This has consisted of: hardware & software upgrades, full system rebuilds, system maintenance, technical support, connecting to the Internet, as well as pricing and building of new systems within financial constraints specified. Also design, install, and maintain several home networks, and build and support PCs for those customers. | |
1992-2002 - Self-employed on a need basis with neighborhood landscaping and home improvement jobs such as mowing, design and construction of new gardens, garden and shrub maintenance, interior and exterior painting and staining, driveway sealing, ceramic tile repair and installation, and cable and telephone wall jack installations. | |
